i have a couple of cabinets i want to paint and then hang, they have a like a funny looking, i assume some type of plastic. what to apint them with.

Sounds like you need to sand them down befor painting if not I dont think the paint will stick.

Does it feel like plastic? I would honestly use a chalk paint, you can buy it in the arts & crafts section in walmart. I love chalk paint and use it pretty much daily on my projects. Only downfall with acrylic paint, is that you have to brush on several layers to make it look even. I use acrylic paint on my cow skulls when I paint designs, and it will take me 3-4 days just to repaint the design to make it look even.
