Location: Kansas | I quit watching it years ago when actors started using their stage time to play liberal politics. Not only the Oscars but every other award ceremony you can think of.....Grammys, SAGS, Emmys, etc. Now it's become a racial thing. Sad. Notice Leonardo used it to push climate change. |

I only turned to it twice briefly but on both occasions a black actor was trashing "white" Hollywood and their reluctance to nominate black actors for Academy Awards. Forgot about the fact that you have to earn that privilege. |

| I thought it was pretty lame. I was glad Leo won. I thought Mad Max probably got rewarded a little heavily...it was OK, but I didn't think it was fabulous.
I had one thought though...BURN....when they did the Black History month segment.... They trashed on Will Smith hard in that deal. |

And then he had to ruin it with his ridiculous political statement on Climate Change. |

Location: SE Louisiana | Wow.... I just watched Spotlight.... I remember the scandals, but I never understood the scope of the problem. It sure enough deserved the Oscar for best picture. The Vatican really screwed up handling the situation. No wonder people started moving away from the church. This movie will bring tears to your eyes. |

Location: SE KS | I liked Chris Rock's opening, & thought he did a good job, he seemed like he put a lot of thought in to how he wanted it to come across. The rest of the show, I didn't think was very tasteful, so considering "what he was working with". I thought he did as good as could be expected.
I thought they did have some diverse backgrounds as presenters. |

Ditto. They live their rich lives surrounded by security and zipping around the world on private jets but love to tell the rest of us how horrible we are using up the world's resources and how terrible guns are. They sure have no issues with guns protecting them and their rich lives. I am pretty tired of "Hollywood". |

DiCaprio is a hypocrite. If anyone gets a chance to be on a movie set, the amount of materials and the waste that comes with it is less than admirable when it comes to being a "voice" on climate controll. I am sure as long as the hypocrisy doesn't cut into his lavish lifestyle he should be ok. |
