Location: IL | Does anybody have a leopard print seat on their saddle that isn't made of stingray? I love the leopard print seat on Fallon's new saddle! I have a Deb Sibley saddle with a black suede seat and was considering sending it in to have the seat changed to a leopard print style. Only thing is, I do not want a stingray seat, due to the crystals on my jean pockets, and not to mention I feel like a stingray seat would be slick. But for those of you who do have a non-stingray one, how well has it held up? Is the leopard print wearing off at all? TIA! |

I personally can't give an opinion on stingray but the only other leopard print I've seen is on tacky cheap saddles and I bet the hair gets rubbed off super quickly. I'm not sure but I think stingray is the only kind that can do all those different designs. Good luck! |

Location: California | You could probably find a leather hide at a leather shop that isn't hair on hide or stingray. Then send that to whoever you're going to have change out the seat. That would probably be your best option. They do make this kind of leather. Just have to know where to look/who to ask. |

Thats what I was thinking to. It appears that Fallon's new saddle seats that are leopard are just a printed leather hide (not hair on or stingray). But I haven't seen one in person so perhaps I am wrong. |

I know what you're talking about, and yeah, the hair on wouldn't last long on a saddle seat. lol |

Really? And no problems with the crystals wearing marks on the stingray or the stingray grinding the crystals down to nada? My saddle is fully tooled too so I worry a stingray seat would make my saddle slicker than snot lol. |

no problems. Stingray is an extremely tough leather. I got my saddle in 2009. Here is a recent picture of it.

Yea, I have no idea what type of leather is on the seat of Fallons new saddle. I feel like I read somewhere that it was stingray, but not 100% sure either. I personally love stingray... however it can be pricey! lol |

| I have an Ammerman with a stingray seat. It holds up great. It's not slick at all either. My mother has the same saddle with the leopard stingray seat. It looks amazing. |

Location: Weatherford, TX | I have a Pozzi Tiger Print Stingray seat with a soft rough out. I love that saddle. I thought it would be slick too, but it's not. It is extremely durable. I don't wear jeans with bling, so I can't speak to that. |
