Has anyone heard about this or tried it? Is it over glorified or does it actually work? I've got a mare who has got some sore hocks etc. Was told by someone they were able to stop injecting when they put their horse on this. I don't know if its false or not.
But really interested to see if anyone else has used this.
I have been feeding it for almost 2yrs now. The first horse we started it on was starting to have gate issues and slowing down in her runs. I noticed a huge difference in this mare in just a couple weeks she went back to walking through the gate and she ran her fastest pole time and stayed faster all summer. She is not a fast barrel horse but it did improve her barrel times as well. We also started a friends mare on it who had recently been told by the vet to turn her out to pasture that the mare was finished after an injury she had gotten. That mare is now 18 and running 1D times again. Then last summer a friend who has an older gelding with a huge blown up knee asked about it and we put him on it and in two weeks he was feeling better. He could only make one run a weekend or he would be very sore and he was already on lots of other stuff. She ran in a race where the top 20 came back that night and ran again. She ended up in the top 20 and 2nd in the final and he was still moving pretty darn good. I am a believer in it.
I don't believe anything is going to keep.you from injecting. It may extend the time between injections. It is better to give something like injectable Glucosomine,Pentosan etc.
