| I'm not sure if you are looking for a specific one, but here's one I use and love it.
16oz box elbow macaroni
16oz block sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
8 oz block cream cheese, cubed
1 stick of butter, cubed
2 c milk.
Honestly, I just put all that in, put it on high to quickly melt the cheese, and keep an eye on it and add what I feel is needed. I usually end up adding a bit more milk. The recipe I started from said it takes 4-6 hours, but I find its about done after 2 1/2-3 hours. |

Location: LaBelle, Florida | I am a macaroni/cheese expert! This is how I learned from Mom. Boil macaroni (can use any noodle shape really) 1 stick of real butter, 1lb velveeta cheese, cut up
Once the noodles are done, drain but do not rinse Put in the butter and velveeta and heat till all melted and gooey. Spoon out your serving first cause when the family hits it, there won't be any left. |

Location: Where you need a paddle... Oregon! | I hope this is good because I just went to the store and got everything to make it! Thought I'd do a pork loin to go along. I'll have to try the Trisha Yearwood recipe some time. I love her cooking show. |

I personally DO NOT cook the noodles before hand. If you need it to be done super fast, you probably could. But when I cook in the crock pot, I'm all about using one and only one dish, and not having to prep anything. Seriously, cubing the cheese is as far as the prep goes. I literally dump this stuff in the crock pot, turn it on, and leave it, stirring whenever I walk by it. Since it does cook quickly, it's not one I can do on a work day to leave for 8 hours. Although, that's probably a good thing, or I'd make it entirely too often! |

Location: Kansas | I tried it once.........I soaked the noodles for 5 minutes before placing into the crockpot. It literally cooked for 8 hours on low, stirred every hour as recommended.....still came out horribly lol

Mine turned out horrible last night. My SO that eats anything didn't even finish his. I didn't even bother to ask if he wanted me to put it in the refrigerator - I just asked him to talk the scraps out to the cats LOL.
I'm guessing I cooked mine too fast. When I read the directions the first time I thought it said 2 hours and 15 mins on low, however when I started preparing it, I noticed I misread and it really said 3 hours and 15 minutes. I thought putting it on high would help....oops. |

Even after cooking for 8 hours, most the noddles were still crunchy. Mine pot went to the pig LOL |

| The edge does get a tad crunchy, which is why I stir a lot. But, it sounds like you're saying they crunchy, like not cooked, crunchy. That seems odd, since the recipe says to fully cook them (the link, not my recipe). I'm curious which recipe you used, and if you cooked them all the way, or if you did the 5 minute soak like another poster. |

| I boiled my shells before I put them in the crockpot, but didn't cook them fully. You might have to try that next time? My problem was just with the grittiness and separation of the cheese :( |
