I am considering buying another helmet... I used to run in one a couple years ago that was horribly uncomfortable and that's why I quit wearing one.
What helmets have you found to be the most comfortable, least clunky/bulky, and BREATHABLE--major concern in South Alabama in the summer (:
Thanks in advance, and links would be greatly appreciated!

What's confortable for one person may not be for another, because of differing head shapes.  Ideally you need to find an english tack shop where you can try on various makes and models.  If the last one was uncomfortable because it was painful to your head while wearing it, then you had the wrong shape helmet for your head. Heat, that's just something to deal with on some level but some have better ventilation than others, and that's a matter of opinion too.

Tipperary, Ovations, OneK, Samshields are well-ventilated, but the price ranges are *completely* different. If you're looking to stay inexpensive (within a price range to easily replace if you take a fall), the Tipps and Ovation Schooler may work for you (again, depending in your head shape).

I have a Tipperary Sportage & so far it's very comfortable. Haven't had a chance to wear it through the Tx summer though, so we'll see.

I have a Tipperary Sportage and I like it a lot. I have a small  head (sizw XS) and it fits well. Anything on your head in summer makes it warm but my helmet is cooler than a hat.

it really is a personal preference. Tipperary is great, but it isn't as adjustable as some other brands. I personally like the ovation helmets with the cool max lining. If price isn't an option, look at the GPA Speed Air Evolution. Extremely breathable.

I have an ovation helmet that I love and I got it on sale through Jeffers for about $30. I would buy another in a heartbeat. So light and airy and it has the adjustable dial in the back of the helmet.
I used to only buy troxels when I rode English but I'm really liking the ovation line too.

I have a smaller round head (I was a 6 3/4 hat) and I just bought a Troxel Intrepid. I really like it. Plus they have neat patterns and colors, and they are around $50, so cheap enough to replace if they are damaged/dropped.

I rode jumpers for years and my favorite helmet for comfort have always been Charles Owens. I love the look of the Samshields, because you can customize them, but they are too pricey for me. GPA are nice too, but a little bulkier than the CO and again, too pricey. I keep Tipperary in my tack shed and trailers because they are inexpensive and it is good to have them on hand if you don't have your nicer one with you. They are pretty comfy and nice for the price, some goes for Troxel. They all have to meet a certain safety standards.

I like my tipperary sportage. I do wish that it had a dial in the back to adjust it though
