Location: Minnesota | Hello everyone, just looking for some advice or tips on things I could do to possibly help this guy heal a little more. He's not my horse and unfortunately I did not meet him until now. I've been googling and have some ideas on things to try but I would like to hear some first hand experiences. This is such a nice horse, bred right and build like the perfect head horse. His owner was devastated when this happened but since he is staying sound we would like to help him out as much as we can and get him back to being an awesome performance horse.

Location: Wisconsin | My mare has an old injury in the same spot. About 2 years after it had healed I got ahold of PHT wraps and the magnets took out all the puffyness of scar tissue. |

Location: Cold Tundra | I have seen great success from the Respond laser. I used it on an old scar, and shrunk down to barely noticeable. |

Now, I've also had people suggest bacon grease and meat tenderizer to help shrink old proud flesh and grow hair back, but I haven't had a chance to try it! lol |

How can I try the bacon grease and meat tenderizer? |

Never actually tried it myself, so I can't say for sure. I would assume that you could smear the whole area with bacon grease and sprinkle the meat tenderizer over it? If I have a chance to experiment with that one I'll post my findings |

One of the Haflingers we just bought has this exact blemish on his back leg and it doesn't effect him but man is it ugly to see. My husband has been saving up our bacon grease so I might suggest this to him! |

| PHT wraps and Respond Laser. Feed Equine Regen to jump start the stem cells. |

| Look into PF wonder salve. Maybe email them and ask if they think it will work on this. I have used it and been impressed. Good luck! |

Smokin,
Do you have a pic of the wonder wraps? I have a similar injury um dealing with. Can't find a pic of them on PHT site. |

Location: Idaho | For the proud flesh.. Try Underwood's horse medicine. I know a mare that fell out of a trailer going 65 mph, had holes in her knee's, hocks, stifles and had road rash all along her sides. Underwood's did an amazing job.. 2 years later, all the hair grew back and you couldn't even tell she had those injuries.
I'd look into Back on Track quick wraps for the swelling and healing.
