I thought I knew and now I'm not sure. How do  you find the correct cinch size? I saw a photo for cinch placement and it showed the cinch placement alot smaller/lower than what I usually ride like. The photo said to have the cinch below a vein or something that runs along the side of the horse. That puts a size 30 on my 15.2 h paint? I will try to attach photos

I make cinches and there are a few different schools of thought on how long a cinch should be.  It's one of the most  frequently asked questions I get, and really boils down to personal preference I think.   The 3rd question down on the webpage link attached talks about some of the most commonly held thoughts on the issue that I've found.  http://www.khearttack.com/category-s/150.htm

Remember when you measure the cinch that you measure from the inside of the buckle to inside of buckle for your measurement.
