| So, what are the thoughts on the First ERA...met expectations, wildly exceeded expectations? Anyone attend?
Trevor did good one night, not so much the other. I don't think Tuff placed. Charmayne was at the bottom both runs. Chani placed good, that was cool.
The crowd seemed great. It was a small venue, but still a packed house.

Location: In my own little world | It will be broadcast on April 6 and April 14 on Fox Sports 2 They must be planning on making all their money at the Finals because for many of the men, who no longer have the option of PRCA rodeos, if they were to win every one of them that is only $54,375. I realize there is less expense that goes into that but still not a ton of money for regular season.

| They may have sold all the tickets, people just didn't show up. I know that businesses will buy blocks of seats for themselves, employees and customers to go watch the rodeo. It is usually a write-off for them since many rodeos help raise money for local charities. It may just be that since it was Easter weekend, people were busy elsewhere. I don't know how the ERA does their thing, though. |

There's a reason why they all bought stock. I don't think they plan on making that much actually rodeoing. I think the payoff for the contestants will come from ticket sales, TV airtime and merchandising |

I went back and looked at the results so I stand corrected...Their rules have been so confusing and with contestants getting points with knocked barrels, it looked like they were giving participation points by just showing up. I'm shocked that Tuff, Fred and Marty could miss all of their calves but I guess they did and I guess you have to have a qualified ride to get points. The barrel racers must have to go off pattern and get a NT not to be eligible for their participation points.

I was wondering if maybe that was it, but it just seemed odd that he didn't go to the first one. |

Location: Oregon | A lot of my family went and absolutely loved it. Got to hang with Tuff, Trevor, Fallon, Fred, etc and have a good time. All the big names I guess had meet and greets at some different venues/businesses around town, and they also had a big meet and greet before the rodeo in the arena. |

He was there signing autographs. He either A) Was hurt and didn't compete or B) Just sucked that weekend or C) Figures he gets a big payoff at the end of the year just like the NFL so being on his A game is optional at this point. |

It is the same way in the other timed events.....If they pay 10 places, you can "place" in a rodeo with a downed barrel, broken barrier, etc so I would think that would be their thought process of points down to 10 places. |

| I was there both perfs and will try to post two videos - one is of the calf running thru Tuff's rope and the other is the totally full grandstands on Sat night. Best seats in the house are up high - i also had VIP passes which were dirt level - Ill try to post the pic of Brittany also. But Fri night i figured it was 70% full and Sat there were no seats available!
Fri night ground was deep and didnt hold the horses very well but Sat night it looked better - they must have packed it. Ive run in this arena a few times - it has a concrete floor so the dirt is never consistent.
The rodeo itself was top quality! Yep some of the ropers missed but bulls were terrific and cowboys got scores - all the events were run well and yes, its their association so some of the rules are different.
Some of us are planning Dallas in November ... I want to support this organization ... They deserve it - as we all know - these rodeo athletes should have their pay and status elevated - the venue is different from other sports but they are the best of the best ... Even when they miss... Or hit a barrel !
My videos are apparently too big - i tried to post my Brittney pic and it said that was too big also .... You can see my posts on @ERARodeo on Twitter.
