| My mare has two blue eyes with dark skin. She's AQ registered, not Paint; which no one believes. LOL. I have never had any problems with her and she has full sight. I do keep a fly mask on her in the summer months, but other than that no special treatment. |

Location: Somewhere around here | Never owned one but had a college roommate who did. Very sweet mare that would try her heart out. Felt sorry for the horse because the rider had a temper. Would've bought her if I could! |

| I own 3 APHA horses with blue eyes 2 with dark skin, one with white. I've never had an issue with any of them! |

Location: Aubrey, Texas | The old-timers called them glass eyes- it's an indication of an Overo gene. Some horses will only have flecks of blue- we called them "feathers." Really cool looking. As far as I know, it doesn't affect their vision. Possibly, like light blue-eyed people, the sun might be a little harder on them than brown eyes. With dark skin around the eye, I'd say you're good- |

Location: North Dakota | Thoughts and and experiences in relation to what? My gelding has one blue eye and one brown eye. I think his blue eye is really pretty. I'm glad he has it...idk what else to say about it. I think blue eyes are stunning on horses, people, and dogs. |
