Location: PA | MINE! She's at 336 days. She's been bagged up since the beginning of March. She even started waxing the beginning of march for about 2 weeks....which caused us to panic a bit....but since then nothing...she's gladly holding my baby hostage! Grr....

| They'll be worth the wait, my mare went 366 days. I thought it was just going to come out looking like a yearling. Everything was fine though, some of them just take a little longer to bake. Good luck and I cant wait to see baby pics!!

That, and she LOVES sleeping in her sawdust/straw nest that C makes for her every night.... not much incentive to hurry things along. |

On a side note, I have run out of straw (since I thought she was going to foal last week!) and there is no more to be found! Any ideas on bedding? I've been reading online that some people use hay??? Would you consider that? My neighbor has offerend me some older (but clean) brome bales.

Location: PA | My mare started waxing yesterday morning...YAY! Was hoping she'd have it last night...nope...wasn't even acting like she wanted too...grr....The other night she was very restless...lots of pacing, down up, down up...but nothing..nada...no baby.
She's driving me crazy! |

My vet said shavings can be used also. She just recommeneded the big ones...not the small fine shavings.
I use straw, and HATE IT! LOATHE IT! But I won't switch until all the straw is gone...once it is, i'm switching to shavings... |

Location: Missouri | Thanks for the bedding advice. I hate cleaning the straw and *thought* I was waiting to the last minute to put it in... but we see how that turned out! haha! Good news is I found more in a nearby town, so I won't have to keep picking through it.

I was watching mine on camera most of the night. She was up and down and still nothing...

Her ear wax is building up and starting to hang down a bit. She's still holding on....today we are at 340 days. We've reached our "due date". Now give me that baby!!!!  |

Location: PA | Ugh...my mare is making me pull my hair out..
Thought last night was it...again. She was pacing, kicking her belly, up/down, up down, etc....At one point she was down for along while....would lay flat out, groan and moan...roll on to her back, sit up..and repeat...LOTS of passing gas....and then...nothing. No baby.
I've come to realize i think she enjoys making me go crazy.
