Location: Wherever They Send Me | $85 (includes sedation) for a normal float...if there are excessive ramps or they require more "happy juice" then it is more. For my 23 year old, where there really wasn't much to do it was $60.

| 80-120 depending what needs to be done, how much sedation, etc. I've never paid over $120 with the dentist I am using. |

Location: MN | I just paid $120 yesterday including sedatioin and he even adjusted his back in a couple spots as well. Northern MN. But the guys come from Texas twice a year.

I know it was $85 for the dental exam (power float) and she does sedate them. That's the part I didn't pay attention to. Maybe it was $20 for the sedation??

| $75, regular float. My vet told me there is a place for power floating but the majority of horses do not need it and it's a way to get us to spend more $$$ unnecessarily. My two cents. |

| Starts at $85, then charges for sedation, ramps, problems, etc. My bill has never been more than $120 and it was a new boarder's horse whose mouth was a mess. I also get a full dental record, and she is so great at educating while she's at it! She shows, explains, educates the what/why, we get to feel before, after, etc. Also the more outside horses I get and bring in, she'll discount or do some for free for referrals. |

| $100 a horse. Power performance float with sedation. I give him a little extra because he also drives 5 hours to come to my barn. ETA: I am in West Texas.

I just wait for the guy from down the state to come. He's not certified or whatever, but he charges $75, including sedation. And does an excellent job. He hand floats. Shows us everything along the way; hooks, sharps, sores, etc. My mare gained at least a hundred lbs after she got floated. She wasn't thin to begin with. Lol. And my gelding has completely quit dropping feed even tho I was told he was done just before I bought him, less than 6 months ago. |

Yikes!! Almost CA prices.. lol I don't like "Non" vets administering sedation to my horse thats probably why I pay a little extra for my vet. THere are quite a few " Dentists" around here and its a bit sketchy. |

Yes you are paying way too much. Start checking around. Great horse dentists in central and east Texas, should be 85-110 for maintenance floats, includes sedation. You may pm me if you need names. |

| Thank you all for posting. You all gave me a good idea of what to expect. We used a reputable guy that came from Texas (Todd is all I know). My 8 yr old gelding's mouth was in good shape just needed a little floating of the teeth. Cost $90.00. Im in Northwest Louisiana. |
