| April 12, 2004-April 12, 2016 12 years cancer free!! Praise The Lord!!
June 27, 2003 I found out I had breast cancer. I was sitting in my truck at the doctors office. I prayed from my heart , Lord, help me to become a vessel for You. Father, give me strength to go in and hear what these test results say. Amen
The test results were malignant. June 27 was on a Friday. I had biopsy surgery on Monday and another lymphoid 13 taken out surgery the following Monday. Medullary carcinoma cancer. I was blessed it became incased capsule in my breast, hasn't spread to my lymphoids . I had 33 radiation and 8 chemo, IV 6 hrs and 4 hr treatments. During these I listen to Christian teachings, music, wrote journal of my journey of the herbs and what I did to try keep the healthy part of my body healthy. Chemo kills everything bad and good cells. The radiation cooks you.
My poor body has been a war zone. I had ruptured appendix in 1965, 70" broke my ankle out of socket, had pins put in later taken out. 80" tumor on my right ovarie, 90" fatty tumor removed, left knee cap shattered, torn ligaments , concussions so many I didn't keep count, left hand broken, left wrist ligament pulled away from bone. Just to name a few.
June 27, 2003 in my journal I wrote: cancer can take away all my physical abilities. It cannot touch my heart or my soul for both belong to Jesus. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
I saw a bumper sticker that read " I am blessed to be a blessing to others". My cancer prompted me to realize all the blessings from God are to encourage us to be a blessing to others."
I started prayer request on ebarrelracing in July 2003. And started sharing my personal journey with Jesus on this board BHW.
2 Kings 18-19 a victory was recorded of the Jews. Even the other nations upon hearing the Jewish victory had to admit " The Lord has done great things for them" Deliverence, however, brought responsibility with it. The Jews who were blessed with freedom from the Assyrians were to be a blessing to others.
As believers we have experienced deliverance from sin. The bondage of sin no longer exits. Now we have the responsibility to lift our voices in praise and to share the gospel. Psalm 127 reminds us, that we are to live our lives empowered by The Lord. Only then will we effectively make an impact on others and our children.
For it is WITH God all things are possible
