Location: Missouri | I'm looking at these two: martin laced or circle y laced? I've not seen either in person and will be ordering-- does anyone prefer one over the other or is there a better brand out there?

| "the rein man" Steve davis makes all kinds of braided leather reins and nylon as well. I really like them and he can even make leather reins with colored nylon for the "braid." They are very nice.
You can look him up on FB under Steve Davis (The rein Man) and see many pics |

What lengths do you guys get? I have a pair of roping reins that my mom loves and asked me to get her for Mother's Day. My roping reins are too long but I'm worried if I order the "short" ones they'll be too short. |

| Martin!!
I have a few pairs and my favorite are the blood twist. They are so soft. I would have ten of them if I could. |

I got medium. I wish I had gotten long because my mediums are just long enough at the longest setting, but I like riding in longer reins than I run in. My mediums at the longest setting are just right for running and a little short for what I like to ride in. |

Location: **Cactus Country down in South Texas*** | I have several pairs of those and love them, I use them on my bigger horses. Verses my little black horse who has a short neck & ride two handed all the way, I like the thin martin reins. |

These are BY FAR my most favorite reins i've had to date. Good weight, good feel, good quality, snaps, pretty, perfect length. What else could you want!? :) |

These!!!!! So does Danyelle Campbelle and I was told Brenda Mayes did. Howard does all my leather work for me. I've had the ones that shallow creek makes and I love Howard's way more. I am not good to my reins but they always stay flexible and soft. They come in 4 different widths and different lengths. You can get them plain or blingy. He doesn't have a website but you can find him on Facebook or if your interested message me and I can pm you his phone number
