A dinette that folds into a bed or a couch that folds into a bed....

This is in a 8 or 10 foot SW.

Dinette. I have a friend with a folding couch and I think it would be nicer for hanging out during the day and having multiple people to have the dinette. The extra table/counter space would be nice!

It's a personal choice. I don't like eating in my LQ's and it's not wide enough to have people in. I use the couch to chill out and watch TV and many times I end up sleeping there since it's so much easier getting up and down..LOL

I can work remotely so I opted for a dinette set to set up my laptop on.

I've had both and prefer the dinette. Great to work off of, eat, or play card games on

I think I prefer the dinette too. What's cool about the dinette is it can fold out into a couch so you'r not losing that extra sleeing space. Now the hard part is finding one because it seems like the majority of LQ's in my price range are with a couch.

Had the dinette, but I think I'd prefer a couch. The dinette always felt like we had to file in, like people trying to fit around a booth table at a restaurant - moving to let people in or out. I'd prefer the couch next time with the option of putting a small table up in front when needed.

We have a dinette and love it. I usualy sit at it and watch a movie on the laptop or read a book. But it's just me and sometimes the hubby so we don't need a bunch of space. If you have more people going it might be easier to have a couch.
But it really is a personal preference.

I love my couch!

I have a table that clips into the floor so it can be a dinette also, and I NEVER use it. It's really just a matter of preference. I mean shoot, I usually eat on my couch at home, so what's the difference? hehe

Have both and keep my dinette folded down all the time for the extra "couch" to lay on. So I would say couch.

I love my dinette. The table space is invaluable. It's usually just me staying in it and any time spent with my friends is outside under the giant awning.

I've had both, and I prefer the couch. I do have a table that can be put in a hole in the floor.. Never have used it. I thought when I had the dinette it would be so much better, but it was more often folded down into the bed than it was a table, and it was tight to fit people in to eat at.. So now we usually eat either on the couch (if bad weather) or if its nice, just fold up chairs outside. my dogs also love the couch as its their springboard to get up into the bed. lol

The couch makes a more comfortable bed. The dinette is invaluable if you have kids. Plus, for hanging out, you face each other to visit instead of side by side. I bought a 14' shortwall so I could have both.

I'd prefer the dinette; easier to set drinks down, plates, etc.

As a person who has slept on both the dinette turned to bed vs couch that turns into a bed, I MUCH prefer to sleep on the dinette converted to the bed. Way more comfortable.

We have a dinette that folds into a couch. Its nice to have the table if needed for me to use my laptop, or to feed my toddler. If I had gotten to choose I wouldnt have picked the dinette, but it is proving useful.

I have a friend that has a dinette and I swore I would never have one. The "bed" it folds into is extremely uncomfortable. Not saying that you can't get good ones (and probably bigger... her trailer is an 8' sw), but I wouldn't feel comfortable asking someone to sleep on that.

I have a couch and anyone who has slept on it said it's great. I have a table that I can put out to go in front of it, but it doesn't bother me to hold my plate. I can see where the dinette would come in handy if you need to have a work space or place for kids to sit things down.... but I hate having to set it up and break it down each morning and night... the couch is much quicker.

Dinette, would be my choice. I am actually looking at differnt LQ myself right now. And I would prefer a dinette, because like others have said. It just makes for a nicer visiting/free time area. My grandparents love going with me to barrel races, but like their quit time as well, and then if my sister-inlaw decides to go with her horses and kids. Well anyways, its just nicer and they do change into a bed as well. Also if you half to take school pappers or work with you on the road its a easier place to sit down and work.

I always wanted the couch, ended up getting to good of a deal to pass up on one with a dinette and I'm very happy with it.  Makes for a nice area to do work, hang out etc and I've slept on in a few times and its always been comfortable.

Couch. Have a bad back so the dinette doesn't look comfortable. Heck we don't sit at our table at home much. If I need to work, I have no trouble using a laptop on my lap. I do it all the time at home.
