Location: Oklahoma | Statement from Team Zenyatta: VERSAILLES, KY — (April 13, 2016) It is with heavy hearts that Team Zenyatta and Lane’s End Farm must announce the passing of Zenyatta’s 2016 foal by War Front. His death occurred at approximately 9:00 am this morning due to complications of meconium aspiration syndrome. We express our deep gratitude to Dr. Peter Morresey and the professionals at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital who worked tirelessly to support the mare and foal. Zenyatta is in good health and back home at Lane’s End Farm. |

| Such terrible news :( she also lost her war front filly in 2014... I can't imagine being in their shoes and losing another foal. Prayers are with them! |

| IDK if it's the cross or what, but they sure seem to be having lousy luck getting her to keep a foal. I feel really bad for the mare, and for the time and effort put in by the people, but dang...I think I'd hang up that cross. |

Hope that they breed her to a different stud next time, such a sad deal, poor mare. |

Thanks for clearing that up, I was thinking something different, then hope the next time is a charm for the mare. |
