I foster dogs for the animal shelter and often take "dog aggressive" dogs home and socialize them, I've had over 60 the past years and ALL have done amazing after about 1 minute with my dogs. What is a GOOD muzzle that you've used that will stay on dogs and let them still breathe. I usually just do it when first introducing them, my last one was kind of cheap and has ripped already due to a dog trying to get it off.. any suggestions on a good one that's adjustable I can use.. I generally have bigger dogs.

I would suggest a good quality wire basket muzzle so the dog can't bite, but it's not feeling confined either. They can still pant and drink with a basket muzzle, so you can leave them on longer than you could a mesh muzzle. I feel like that would be better for your situation where you want to give them some time to adjust prior to removing the muzzle. With these, you aren't on a time restraint.

I have bought basket muzzles off of Amazon and Ebay, and they work good. Our Rat Terrier has diabetes and he wears it when he is outside to prevent him from eating things he shouldn't be. He can drink with it on easily.

Thank you all! I had never used a basket muzzle before but was thinking this was the perfect type but wanted to hear from those who had used them :) I'll get one ordered! thanks. :)
