Anybody know what to put down in the stalls to help cut the ammonia smell down?

We've stripped the stalls down (all dirt floor) and the smell is still there.

When I stalled mine I used lime that I got from Tractor Supply then put their shavings on top of the lime. Or you can also use the Diatomaceous Earth (food grade).

Plus the Diatomaceous Earth helps with the flies or it does for me. I get it from either Tractor Supply or earthworkshealth.com
Make sure you look for the Food Grade.

On the PDZ, they say to use 5-6 cups when you're doing a bare stall. Then, after you pick stalls each day, once you pick the wet out, you can throw some more down on that wet spot. I do it at my discretion...and I use ag lime and PDZ because I have a 3 year old that's a P-I-G, pig. I can get 2-3 weeks out of a bag...as long as he doesn't have to be stalled a lot.

Pdz I like the powder better than granules. Also, be very careful using lyme even under shavings. Your horse breathes the particles in and it gets in their lungs, can cause respiratory problems
