I have a mare that i sent off a yr ago to a very well known cutting trainer . she was there for 30 days and came back extremely headshy,, i have been trying to get her over it for a yr... Any one have experience or ideas of what i can do? She is fine putting on halter and does know how to lower head with poll pressure but hates if you touch her ears, forlock and specially when you go to put bridle over her ears..

Check to see if bit is pinching. My colt has extremely soft tissue in corners of his mouth and i never really noticed it. Sure enough I looked inside his mouth and there it was. Inside was red and irritated. Outside looked fine.
I know my younger horse does NOT like his ears touched anymore because last summer those stupid little ear mite bugs were SO bad! Even over the winter when those bugs were long gone, he just still does not like his ears touched much. He'll let me do it if I make him, but he'd rather I leave his ears alone. He just seems to remember how much they "hurt" and really hated it when I would try to clean them out.
Maybe possible that there was something like that at your trainer's place, but not at your place? Just a thought anyway.
