| So Nyquist is the favorite? Who else is up there with him? How many are in the field?

Location: Kansas | There are 20 horses entered so it will be a rough and tumble Kentucky Derby. I wish they would limit this race to the best 12. They draw for post positions this afternoon. |

Nyquist will be the favorite, he is going into the race undefeated, but he also has the kiss of death on his back, meaning he won the BC Juvenile in 2015. To my knowledge Street Sense has been the only horse to win the BC Juvenile then go on to win the Derby. Also can Nyquist go two turns....time will tell, I like the guy but depending on his draw into PP might look else where. |

I think the distance will hurt him worse than superstition.

Not superstition at all, it's a fact.
Time will tell, this horse likes to win. |

| I think Mohaymen might jump up in there. Honestly, just about any horse in this field could run 3rd and it wouldn't surprise me. I'm waiting to pick my winner for post position draw, just because I think it might make things easier for certain horses if they draw decent. |

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe he has gone two turns numerous times. |

Personally--I think he will be fine with the extra 1/8 in the Derby because he runs in front and the Derby is so hard for a closer with all the traffic. |

Location: Ky | We have a regular table reserved at Ellis park. This is about as even a field as I remember. I like Nyquist and will bet some on him but I don't believe he wins. This seems like a year for an unexpected to jump up and win the race. |

| I would love to see Trojan Nation take it. I think if he breaks good on the rail and doesn't have to swing wide he might be the closer who can take Nyquist.
All in all I'm just not that excited about this year's group of horses. Maybe it's because I had been following American Pharaoh ever since he was in training before he became famous lol but none of these horses have made me say "wow what a horse" |

I know that he doesn't have a shot. But I just love Danzing Candy. Loved watching Twirling Candy, remember the challenge to train him. |

Twirling Candy didn't like to train or rate, had to have been a hard job. I am sure it was not easy to get him fit and to lay off the lead.. I just didn't word it correctly.
