Location: SE Missouri | My father has made the heart wrenching decision to say goodbye to our stallion Western Patriot tomorrow (avatar pic). Hes been part of our life for 20 years and it's so tough.
I want to do something as a memorial gift.. What are your favorite memorial ideas or companies. Since it's my dad, a necklace won't really fit the bill. Thanks in advance. It's not gonna be a fun day tomorrow. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | Maybe have some Shoo Flys made out of the stallion's tail hair. And the key chains, with mini shoo flys would be kinda neat. |

| I did a shadow box for my old man. It has his AQHA papers, some of my favorite pictures, the but we always rode him in, and one of his shoes. I need to find a place to hang it in the new house. I did charms with some braided hair for my mom and sister as he was our family horse growing up.
We also just made bridle hooks out of the other 3 shoes - I've been hanging onto them for 2 years now waiting for something fitting. I've always boarded and never had a farm of my own. I just moved to my fiancé's farm and we built a tack room, giving him a spot in it (and functional) seemed fitting.
Thoughts and prayers - it's never easy but I believe as the owners of these great creatures giving them peace is the greatest gift we can give. |

| A picture of the horse with a frame made of something from him. Like hair, or his shoes, or his bit or something would be neat. So sorry for your loss :( Prayers! |

| So sorry for your loss.
I know a friend who received a statue made from her horses hair. I know she really appreciates it. I attached a picture I found through google.

Location: OH. IO | when ViewThis jet passed away i had a blanket made with his photo and his name on it.I sent it too them.I was crazy about that horse, lol,I did not know the owners, never met them, but i LOVED THAT HORSE!!! The blanket could be laid across the back of a sofa or hung on the wall. When our lab died,we obviously buried him at home,i had a real gravestone made, that dog was my husbands soulmate, lol, and im more than ok with that.I made a memorial gravesite with a bench and yellow roses in our back yard so my husband can still sit and talk to him. just some idea...IM sorry for your entire familys loss. |

Location: NE Texas | So sorry, abrooks. I know that won't be easy on ya'll. Those like him always leave a hole in our heart that no other horse fills. BJ was that for me. Hugs to you and your family!
I think the sho-fly idea is really cool. He could have a piece of that horse with him every time he rides. Also love the little keychain idea as well.
Nothing I can say will ease the pain, but just think about how blessed you guys were to get to spend 20 years with a great horse like him! |

| I had a blanket made of my barrel horse. You can have it done at Walmart for $85-100. It has the picture WOVEN into the blanket. It is a good size so you can actually use it. Washable too. I love mine. Use it all the time. |

Location: Louisiana | My dog passed recently. I ordered a granite grave marker through Etsy. It's 6x12", and has his name, and photo etched onto it.
I will use mine as a grave marker in the yard, but you could always display it in the house on a stand.
