My colt off the track has never liked his stifles rubbed or touched really. THe very front part just behind the flank. I always thought it indicated soreness. My vet says most horses don't like that area being palpated and pushed on and it does not mean they are sore. EIther side is the same, does not like them touched. My other horses don't really like it either but not as much of a reaction. Anyone else just have a sensitive horse?
THanks! I wasn't really worried cause this is nothing new, always been this way. lol Vet seemed fine with it to, same with grabbing their flanks to I guess. No pain just irritates the crud out of them.lol

I have a mare that hates it, she also hates anyone touching her chestnuts. She is so offended if you even touch it by accident when you are rubbing her legs.
I think they are much like people, some don't care, and some care too much!
