Thinking of breeding my first wrangler daughter that's out of an old cowbred mare. What would be the best cross as I know first wrangler isn't a favorite of many..

I just got one that is AAA in both APHA and AQHA. She has more run than rate so I am going to a really nice proven son of Frenchman's Guy. She is a sweet mare and loves people, absolutely flawless to look at. So it should be a stand out cross. The stud's name is Guys Piece Ofthe Pie. http://barrelhorseworld.com/horsedetail.asp?ID=263177

You are dissing the wrong side of your mares pedigree !!
It's the combining of the conformations of cutters / reiners with racing bloodlines that gets you in trouble... two totally different body styles .. like breeding a corvette to a Volkswagen ... lol
Find you a Frenchmans Guy stud with a good solid race bred dam such as DTF and go have some fun in 4-5 years ..

Bumping this up. I'll attach this mare's pedigree. Thinking about First Down French or Shawne Bug Leo. Open to other suggestions as long as the foal would have decent resale value. I'd like to breed to keep but don't want to completely lose everything if I sell either. My mare has had limited hauling but has won the most money in the 2d against legit 1d horses. She has ran in other d's as well.

I would love to see this cross on Shawne Bug Leo. He has bred to mare's with The Signature and First Down Dash and the FDD has hit the arena and won $9,000 in less than 4 months. I think you can't go wrong with quick feet pairing with SBL. They have all been winners. :)
