Hey all! My horse is doing great on 1 pound of renew gold. My only problem is he needs a couple of different supplements and thy need to be given morning and evening. Half pound of renew gold I don't much to mix in with. I tried alfalfa pellets and grass pellets. He just sifts through those cause he has free choice alfalfa and grass hay 24/7. Can I mix in like ONE cup of wheat bran with my renew gold twice a day? I would say I could add a little rice bran but he will be gettin way to much fat. Lol. He loves wheat bran!! Thanks.

Wheat bran is really a pretty dead or neutral product. Kind of like cardboard when compared to Stabilized Rice Bran. It is very high in phosphorus, but, considering the hay you feed, at low rates, that will not cause any problems at all. You can add a little for the purpose you state without disrupting the system. I would not add any more than you feel that you need to get the job done.

I feed renew gold also but only once in the am. I use soaked alfalfa cubes. I put them at bottom of bucket layer my herbs and pour renew gold on top. They love it.
