I have a 17 year old mare that has very thin soles, and she also shows changes in her navicular bone. The vet said a few "lollipops" were starting to show up.. I was wondering if the soft ride boots would help her or a waste of money? If the would, would I need to get the blue and purple ones for a horse with laminitis or the blue for standard? Also what are the pros and cons?
Yes they would be great for her (IMO). I personally would use them for her everyday in a stall and then when you turn her out take them off. My mare has "navicular" changes and loves her soft rides. They are the one product I have that I feel like works wonders!
I like them to haul in, and will stall in them on harder ground. But agree with the above poster on removing them for turnout. They're heavy and a little awkward, but they are a wonderful product!

Soft rides are a miracle cure for sore feet!!! I bought a pair used and they came with green pads. My gelding was immediately better as soon as I put them on. Highly recommend!
