I have a mare who is super light in the mouth and really flexible. Previous owner was running her in a twisted wire snaffle. I tend to over ride her out of habit due to my other horse needing help in the turns. Someone suggested trying a hack so I would stay out of her mouth. What hack would you suggest for a very light mouthed horse? She doesn't really drop her shoulder or any of that. Just point and go.

My mare hates bits. When I got her I tried her in about 10 different bits before going to a hack and she was a completely different horse. I ride her in a Little S but even that is too much on her so I wrapped the nose band with vet wrap.

S Hack would be the lightest I think, or try a beetle nose, nothing with to much shank unless you need just a little more you can try a Jim Warner or a bozo side pull hack (that's what I run my light mare in)

I switched my guy to a Little S hack last year and he seems really happy with it and keeps me "out of his way". He also is very light mouthed and doesn't need too much guidance.

i love my Ronny Clampitt... made a whole world of difference in my mare. I would recommend the shorter shanked one for sure. Hard to find one used tho, would probably have to buy new.
