The psalmist transitions from anxiety about God's absence to adoration of His eternal presence. What changed?
In verse 46 How long, Lord? Will You hide Youself forever?
In verses 47,48 Remember how short my time is; for what futility have You created all the children of men? What man can live and not see death? Can he deliver his life from the power of the grave?
In light of death's certainty, we are challenged to make life matter regardless of the circumstances we encounter. His presence never changes, but sometimes our perspective must change.
Our perspective is even greater in light of life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul remind us in 1 Corinthians 15 that even death was defeated on Calvary's cross.
What does this mean for you? Though life is frail, GOD IS FAITHFUL!
You can trust Him on the journey though pain to praise. Remember, God is at work in you for your old and His glory, but your faith walk with Him is an ongoing journey. Ask God to give you faith for the journey today!
For it is WITH God all things are possible,
