Hi all, I am trying to find information on a horse I have acquired he was sold in April of 2012 from the Strain Family Horse Farm in Connecticut but without papers I am going to have testing done but thought I might get someone on here that may recognize him he has an indent in his neck just below the throat latch (probably birth defect) more visible from the right side . The person who purchased him told us all she remembered on his papers ( which she states would have cost her $2500.00 more to receive ) and yes I know that is illegal was "A streak of Fling" which he certainly looks like . I believe he is about 8-9 years old Thanks in advance

Aqha can only do testing if you know the sire and dam.
It actually is not illegal to sell the horse without papers, in the aqha rules there is one section that says you can pull the papers and sell the horse, the papers are supposed to go back to aqha and never to be released, a lot of people forget to do this.
Just be prepared the person you bought the horse from may have lied to you. As this sounds like what most horse dealers/traders will pull.

If the horse was sold without papers there was a reason and I seriously doubt that the original seller is going to fork them over without you paying for them.
I JUST bought a mare from BarrelhorseUSA and the papers were in perfect order as usual. I will have them in the mail to AQHA today. He had mentioned a while ago a horse for sale near him and I asked about the other horse when I picked up the mare and he said they could not find the papers. I lost interest fast.
