Location: A Higher Elevation | I have a FB friend that wants to send her pre-teen daughter to a horsey summer camp. They live in Georgia. Any suggestions in the southeast? I can look on the internet, but you never know what you'll find on the internet...
Thanks,

Location: Wherever They Send Me | Not in the southeast, but I went to Black River Farm and Ranch in Croswell, MI. I was a camper for 6 years, an CIT, AC, counselor for 2 years and a director...LOVED IT!!!!
It is an all girls overnight camp (ages 8 (I think) to 15), they have two week and one week sessions. All morning is horse related (lessons, horse talk, vaulting, etc.) the afternoon has free time (crafts, boating, free riding, trail rides). I spent all my time at the barn.
At the end there is a horse show where the campers show off their horse skills they learned.
They might be full for this summer, but might be worth a try. |
