The link took me to Ford Bend County in SE TX, not Parker County. Scared me since I live in Parker. Thanks though.

We have areas down here where  whole towns are flooded.  It is devastating.  Thebriber is still rising , have not seen the worst yet and  we are expecting 6 more inches of rain, ground is saturated.  Most do not have flood insurance as they live in areas that were not suppose to ever flood, so sad.

Prayers for victims.   Please stay safe driving. Hard to get around with all the road closures. The backroads/shortcuts are hazardous.

I don't have a link but ABC 13 Eyewitness News out of Houston has footage of 10 head of horses seeking refuge on a covered porch at a very nice house surrounded by water.

I was stuck in Hempstead on Thursday night when the rains first came through that area. I was with my vet and her tech on a farm call (that refused to cancel) and then the roads closed while we were out. We ended up back 12 hours later at 3AM. Now my hometown is flooding and the town my mom works in is flooding. It's a nightmare.

Friday I was driving between Navasoata and Brenham on Hwy. 105 and saw tow trucks, police cars, ambulances and several people standing on a bridge.  Then I spotted a pickup upside down in the creek. It was a man who was washed away and managed to send a picture of his windshield under water and a text that read  "All I want is to get home"    How sad!  (He is home in Heaven now.

Yea, driving to Houston on Saturday along 290 they where using choppers and horses to get cattle to safety... the pastures are now lakes.... at least 1 cow was stuck on a fence that I could see. We got pounded again last night.... And there is more rain on the way.
This was around Chappell Hill....

No telling how much livestock will be lost.  Areas are flooding that have never flooded before. I have friends that are looking for year rentals because the flood damage was so extensive. I called one friend to see about moving her horses to my place, she said they were fine, water never gets that high where she lives, next morning water was in the barn, she did get her horses moved after that.

Sending prayers.

I saw footage today of a buck of horses standing on someone's porch, trying to stay out of the water. Several were out in it, chest deep. Devestating for people and animals alike.

Saw this picture on weather.com today....so sad.  It said on there that the owner had airlifted food to these horses but there was no word on whether they were still there today.  Many prayers for all affected.
