My daughters horse has an annular ligament injury on his back ankle. he has had the injections to try and take down the swelling several months ago but it is still swollen. has anybody had any experience with this injury? located in kansas but will haul to the right vet.

I would get the opinion of a good Vet before doing anything. Having said that, I had a TB gelding, that had never been raced, who had this type injury on a front leg. He had no treatment, but time, as far as I know. He was completely sound, and it never bothered him.
So, I guess the takeaway from that story is that it will always probably be unsightly, but he will go sound, and it probably just takes time.
I would ask, though, if your horse is lame at all now. Until the injury he is not favoring it at all, and the injury is completely cold, and tightened up, I would do nothing with him.
