My horse just got diagnosed with kissing spine. He is mild-moderate. I've researched the different threads. Just curious what exercises you are doing for your horse and what seems to work the best...etc.... Mine was not a candidate for surgery because it was so mild but, we did inject him. Just curious what has worked for you and what hasn't. Thanks!
I had one, but he had surgery after several failed sessions of meso therapy and injections. I've heard that strengthening their core by having them lift their back. There's a spot on either side of their tail, about 2 or 3 inches down that if you push on hard, they'll do that. Also trotting over poles that make them gather up. Some others may have suggestions as well.
Good luck. This is just now being commonly diagnosed, the estimate is about 40% of horses have some measure of KS, it's just that before the clinic based machines were available we didn't know it.
There is a video on YouTube that demonstrates it- look up Equine Butt Tuck. She also says to not overdo it- once before you ride and once after. Good luck with your horse-
