I have trained several barrel horses over the years and apparently I have never had one that was "hot." Iv got a mare now that is on go go go all the time and it makes "slow" work difficult. How do you get hot horses back in the frame of mind to teach them something?
Iv been trying to reward small things at a time and so far it has been working but when I start trying to lope excercises, I have a freight train on my hands.
