Location: Somewhere around here | Honestly, I LOVE spring and summer. I grew up in Southern California so heat was never an issue for me and I love seeing all the flowers blooming, everything getting green, and babies frolicking in pastures. BUT, in fall/winter time I also love the excitement of the NFR coming close, all the bugs are dead/dying, and I can ride in the middle of the day without getting a heat stroke lol.
Miss anything in fall/winter? |

| Where I live it is SUPER HOT and humid. Yesterday after riding I got dizzy and weak. Had to sit down a min a regroup. SO to answer your question I miss the Fall weather. It is my favorite!!! Its really nice in Louisiana during that time. I dont like winter but have come to appreciate it as well because of no bugs/mosquitos, no sweating, my hair doesnt inflate when I go outside... lol. I like seeing family and eating good food during the holidays of fall/winter as well. |

I like being warm, green trees, and slicked out horses. |

This is my favorite time of year....everything is so green and pretty. I love summer nights riding. I ride after work, so it's really nice not to have to bundle up like a snowman to ride. Ponies are pretty and slick. There's a million barrel races going on.... LOVE IT! |

| Down here, I really miss Fall/Winter because at that time our temps are usually in the 70's and the humidity usually is lower than 70%. Sometimes we'll get in the 80's and even had some says 90's, but those only last for a day or two. Of course, summer runs from April to November around here. 8-10 months of 90 - 100 degrees and 70% or more humidity gets old really fast.
I live in South Texas not too far from the coast.

I'm in the NW, HATE winter, fall is nice.
Winter brings rain rain and more rain which makes mud and you spend more time brushing your horse down to ride then you spend riding. Races are indoors a few have covered places to warm up, some dont. It freezes, you have to break ice in water troughs even pack water sometimes and/or drain horses after watering.
Fall is pretty, the leaves change the weather is cooler. Fall is the beginning of the end of a year, kind of refreshing to think of what the new year brings.
Both bring shorter days. Get bored early when it's dark by 4:30-5 and no barn or arena with lights. |

| You aint lyin! Last year 22 rattlers were killed within a 3 mile radius of my house. I found a copper head in my feed room this week. It met its maker. I am DEATHLY afraid. Im paranoid whenever in or around the barn all summer. :( No fun.

Location: In The Snow, AZ | I can't handle winter. Wooly mammoth horses. Either the ground is sloppy mud or its rock hard. I kicked a turd last winter and thought I broke a toe. I detest trudging thru snow with a wheelbarrow to bring the next batch of firewood to the house. Emptying hoses.... And then emptying them again to make sure it's useable the next time I need it. I hate extension cords being run all over to make sure horses, dogs, and chickens have thawed out water. It's depressing when the sun is down before 5pm. Runny noses, frozen fingers and toes. Starting trucks early to warm them up... And hopefully they start. Shoveling snow. Don't miss any of it.
Summer is porch sitting, beer drinking, horse riding, flip-flops and tank tops, forest cruises, late nights, water fights. Slick horses, barrel races, barbeques, wood cutting. Love summer. |

Hehehe....agreed! By January 2nd, I'm going 'ok great, Christmas and New Years are over...how many days til sprint?'
To answer the OP. The only thing I like about winter is that I don't have to worry about snakes when I go out. Truly. Now fall, I do enjoy the crispness in the air. |

I live in SoCal and I don't like the summer at all but for the LOOOONG days. I love our short fall and everything about it except the Santa Anas and the risk of wildfires and the fact that the days get shorter.
I'm sure that if I lived elsewhere I would change my tune, but until we move to Texas or Wyoming or somewhere...I'm a fall/winter lover (and yes I also get excited for NFR as that's when I take my vacation to be there.) |

| Hmmmm lol there are several likes and dislikes. Dislikes for spring and summer: it can get scorching, allergies (mine have been horrible this year), horseflies and mosquito's. Likes: lake time, days are longer, I like to ride in the evening so it helps, seeing all the babies born. From little birds to calves and horses. My favorite season is fall. I love the crisp air and how my horses turn that pretty darker shade before they get fuzzy. I also like how its not so bad that I have white legs and don't have to show them off ;) |

I'm with you Cavy, The other day is was 70, sunshine and a light breeze and it was PERFECT! I was out planting my garden in my bathing suit. :o)
Not big fan of summer or winter. Too hot and too cold. A nice Fall is perfect, or would be if we could only get the long days with it. Warm days, cool nights, NO BUGS,....lovely riding conditions. Now a wet, soggy Fall sucks.
All in all, my favorite time of the year. |

Location: Prosser, WA | I love summer and fall. Winter not so much. The best thing about winter is there are no flies. Spring is too crazy, hot, cold, wind, rain, sometimes in the same day. I don't know how people handle living in rainy areas. Most of our rain comes in the spring. Ugh. |

Heat didn't used to bother me, not one bit. I used to be a total summer baby that ate up the 90 plus degree weather and MO humidity. I loved it!
This year, heading into my third trimester, and for the first time in my life, I'm looking forward to fall and cooler temps. |
