| Hello, Looking for suggestions for 4th of July events or festivals in Texas this year. We will be in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. |

DFW is big - certain area? Rockwall has fireworks on the water (Lake Ray Hubbard) and has a nice shopping center, eateries and a Cinema move theater.
I've seen postings of some Barrels races going on - if you join some of the barrel groups on facebook there are all posted there.
Personally, I would stay out actual Dallas, esp on a Holiday.
Addison (suburb of Dallas) has Kaboom town, which is a big firework show. |

| I would prefer something more small town but fun, safer and less of a hassel! |

Check out Granbury, Texas. I make the drive each year to Granbury to watch the fireworks over the lake. Great small town feel and awful pretty if you can rent a boat or get close to the water. |

Location: Texas | There is always a ton of barrel races going on on the fourth. Also, I know of many firework shows going on east of Dallas. |
