This psalm 48:1-14, at the time Pslamist was writing, the presence of God dwelled in the temple, which was located in Jerusalem, and thus Jerusalem was called the " holy city". The Isarelites believed that God' presence made the city absolutely secure, and even struck fear into the hearts of their enemies. The Pslamist exhorted the readers to walk around and check out the security of the city, then tell the next generations about it.phere are two main applications for us: First, today the Spirit of God does NOT dwell in a building, but DWELLS WITHIN His people. The temple of God is in the church collectively 1 Cor. 3:16 in us individually 1 Cor 6:19. That makes you both Holy and secure!
Second, as the readers of Psalms were instructed, we HAVE a RESPONSIBILTY to tell our children and our grandchildren of the things of God. Deut 4:9. In a world that is growing more insecure each day, reassure your children about the faithfulness and goodness of our Lord. NO MATTER what is going on in the world around us, we CAN walk in security, all the days of our lives. V 14.
For THIS is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.
For it is WITH God all things are possible
Have a BLESSED , filled with the Holy Spirit, secure Day
Father God, guide me today to do all things that bring glory and honor to You Amen
Remember The MOST IMPORTANT battle is over the path to salvation.
Satan is not happy that you have become a follower of The Lord Jesus.
The enemy wouldn't be working so hard if he didnt know you were about to step up to a new level. Don't be discouraged by the burden you wouldn't have opposition if you weren't highly favored.
