Who uses what and sees true results. ??

I have a mare who holds a lot of fluid on her hocks in between injections would the pht really help? Or bot ?

I started her in exceed 6 way this week.

She has a spur in there. Vet said its not in the area that is actually causes pain

Thanks

Just a suggestion you might find out what your vet is injecting in the hocks I just had a reaction to glucosamine not injected but after talking to some people it has caused swelling in their horses. Maybe whatever he is putting in there is having a reaction.

I have both. The bot hock wraps are hard to keep up. I love the pht hock wraps. They are great for arthritis and problems like you are having. Get some sore no more and rub on and then put the pht's on

Ive had both pht and bot hock wraps. I never have a problem with either not staying up, but it really depends on the horse I think bc there are a lot of folks who can't keep the pht up (one size fits all). I like both and unless your horse is intolerant to one of the therapies, get whichever you can more easily afford.

I would go with PHT because I wouldnt want a wrap that induces heat on swelling.thats just my opinion tho:)

I would say trial and error, some horses respond to certain therapies better then others.

For chronic injuries, I would ice then heat. Back on track I find doesn't heat up enough to cause problems especially if you are wrapping a hock, the blood is pumped out of the area within 2 seconds, the blood takes the heat away, thermoregulation.

I have noticed if my horses have an ailment, (ie splint) that specific area will be a little wet for a day or two then the entire area wrapped will be dry.

Regarding PHT I have only ever regularly used the 3 in  1's. Not sure they really made a difference. My gelding still needed to be injected.

I personally use BOT products for myself and I can vouch that they do help. I use the mesh sheet and quick wraps on mt horse  regularly when its not too hot. I really think it leaves my horse feeling good.

I, obviously, am an avid PHT user. I have used BOT in the past but have had better results and am able to use PHT more. Here are a couple result pictures I have handy....the bells are fantastic for sure
