The best the left has been able to muster is this accusation of plagiarism, ironically, a craft that has been mastered by Democrats themselves, like Biden, Hillary, and Obama.
Donald has put his best foot forward when he's showcased his kids. |

He looks like somebody who could whip Godzilla and has a lot to say about the strong possibility Hillary allowed classified e-mails to slip into the hands of the enemy. Says this allows the military to be "set up" in dangerous situations.

| I would imagine, a normal politician would have been warned by an advisor to only put one child up on stage to speak. It can be incredibly risky, especially given this is not a group skilled in the political arena. To put each and every one, with the exception of the young boy, and have them all deliver, is phenomenal and speaks volumes about Trump that might not be coming across on T.V. When his daughter expressed how she knew her dad would be the first to call when she was having a difficult time, was a good moment. I think Don Jr. has a future in politics should he so desire. His speech was flawless. I also wonder if the Melania speech hiccup was an accident. There's no such thing as bad publicitiy and a speech that would have otherwise only been viewed by people whom they already have in their corner, now millions more have watched it, and out of those, there will be many whom watch the rest. I believe the way Trump was able to stay in the news by being over the top, this as well could be just a sneaky way of creating interest while gambling on people's doubts not to convict. After all, the only person really taking the fall is the speech writer himself. Kinda brillant or incredibly risky. Who knows.

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I must say that I'm impressed with Trump's kids. All 4 of the adults seem smart, classy, and articulate. Anyone would be proud to have a bunch of kids like his. Some people say it's not possible that a guy like Donald could have much to do with it, so it must be the mothers. All 3 of them? I'm sure they had a lot to do with it, but we ought to be able to see the excellent breeding. He's like DashToFame, with excellent offspring. Hillary, on the other hand, is like a female donkey, if you will,......she's a "Jenny". |

Really?? I didn't watch it but I can't imagine his kids said he was a racist, bigot and sexist phoney. Because that's what's he all about. That's why he is the face of the GOP. He is the hero of the tea baggers. This is what the old guard of the GOP never wanted made public.
But here he is. Revel in it GOP faithful because he is your mirror. The problem for the GOP besides all of that is that Trump is politically a democrat.

| Barely watching. Just not a Trump fan. He is a rude man that has called people ( not just Hillary) some horrible things. I am from Texas and it is NOT O.K. to bad mouth both President Bushs'. If the former President's think he is a loser and not good for this country then he clearly isn't. He is a bully. I do think before this election is over i will probably loose some friends because of politics. That saddens me but it is just reality. |

| Uneventful?? Not true. The first day delegations walked out because they were overruled. There were delegates ( states) that DID NOT Want to give their support to Trump. They wanted to give their support to the candidate who won their state. So, that was Day 1. Day 2 , we have Ms. Trump and her speech.
Day 3, Yes. Trump children did well. |

Good for you. I admire your candor. I assume you will vote for Billary, then. Keep in mind the certainty with which there will be a drastic change in the Supreme Court, as a consequence, and the fact that the makeup of the SCOTUS will remain unchanged for at least a generation. But that's OK, because at least Trump won't be elected, by God. |

Location: Where I am happiest | Cruz and Pence both gave a tremendous speech tonight!! Trump has a tall order to fill. I pray he can deliver, a strong, classy, Presidential speech. His speech, will make or break him. If he flops, people will flock to a third candidate. If he can deliver, and deliver big, I believe he will deliver our country back to us and will defeat Hillary. I am sooooo nervous. So much depends on this election and Hillary is very volnerable. However, Trump has got to be Presidential! He to, is very volnerable. |

The story as I understand it, is that Donald Jr. gave a better more motivating speech than Ted Cruz.

Full Disclosure...I voted Cruz in the primary here...but I wasn't excited about him then either. Just was too leery of Trump at the time.
Last night...he was a total lunchbox. His ego wouldn't let him do the right thing for the party. He is just looking towards his next chance to run...but I'll dang sure not vote for him again. He is as slimy as they come. And I laughed as he got booed. He's no second coming of Reagan...despite what he tells himself in the mirror every morning. |

I find this kind of post humorous......they all signed a pact BECAUSE Trump bullied them into it....he threatened an "Independent run" IF the Republican party didn't treat him nicely....he is just as much a "slime-ball" as any of them....I respect Cruz for standing behind his convictions of the constitution and just because he didn't say the word "endorse", he pulled a "circus stunt".....how many has Trump pulled..... I certainly don't "endorse" Trump but will be forced to vote for him....... IMO, this is the worst choice of candidates in many, many, many years (I AM old)

Location: The Great Northwest | ThreeCorners - 2016-07-20 9:16 PM Cruz and Pence both gave a tremendous speech tonight!!
I'm with you! He needs to sound and be very presidential in todays speech of the change America needs to start. |

Common Sense and then some
Location: So. California | The RNC convention has been anything but uneventful. Right from the start, there was the walk out and controversy. Melania's speech cleary had a few sentences plagiarized, where the heck were the speech writers/editors? Or, was it intentional to keep the RNC in the media, garning a LOT of attention? After all, who can blame Melania, when she clearly didn't write the speech?!?
The trump children were fantastic and really shined! Don Jr. laid down the foundation for a future political career. They ALL made their father proud!!
Giuliani and Christy rocked it! Christy has earned a cabinet position with his long time endorsement of Trump and his rousing speech. Pence's speech was very good, solid and really stamped his personality as a strong conservative, steadfast in his convictions. His job is/was to bring in the base conservatives. I thought he succeeded on all fronts and really adds to to the ticket.
Cruz.... He should have declined speaking. I understand his belief to stand firm to his convictions, but his timing was WAY OFF.... Wrong place, wrong time, wrong setting, wrong everything. I think he misjudged his political stature, and has taken a huge hit to his political future. A very unwise move.
The RNC convention has been electric, unconventional, controversial, and has the media and others talking non stop. More people are watching/listening then otherwise would have. This is great for the party!
What will Trump say tonight? It won't be the conventional "I accept the nomination" speech. It is sure to have a few zingers, stunners and have the media falling all over themselves to discuss it tomorrow. Trump style of course! Thank God it's not politics as usual!! |

Location: Kansas | I was, but always am, very proud of Newt Gingrich last night. He got to the heart of the matter with the trail of destruction Hillary Clinton has left behind her. My list of what Hillary will promise at the DNC next week will be, as she has promised, open borders north and south, Syrian refugees coming into the U.S. by the tens of thousands, free tuition, $15 min wage for all, no end to Obamacrap, the 2nd Amendment out the window. She has endorsed Black Lives Matter (cop killers) because she doesn't want to lose a single black vote. At MSNBC they're enraged because Republicans are being to mean to Hillary......let's see how she treats her rival.

RidenFly - 2016-07-21 7:51 AM Cruz signed his pledge of support and then pulled that circus stunt. He's done. It's over for him. IMO, this is the worst choice of candidates in many, many, many years (I AM old)
But he came off as a little kid that didn't get his way, so he will show us! At least you said although you wouldn't endorse him, but would vote for him. Cruz didn't even say that, which makes you wonder will he just write his own name in, which will be a vote for Hillary. That will show us! |

It was interesting to listen to our local Texas Hill Country station and they have moved Cruz from being King to Court Jester..I really didn't think they would come down on him that hard. I can't imagine him getting re-elected as senator for Texas. |

I totally agree. There have been no consequences for their actions. They will continue to push the envelope and the Jackass and his Jennie will proclaim it's their right to protest since what they are protesting fits their narrative. |

Of all the things most of us strive for in this lifetime, raising kids the right way and seeing them grow up to be fantastic successful adults is probably at the top of the list for most of us.
At the very least, the fact that he has such impressive kids from 2 different mothers ought to be a credit to the positive influence of a good man....their father. |

I totally agree. I also agree that we give him a chance to turn our country around with the same principles that he raised his children with. Is he perfect? No... but who wants to continue down the same road we have been on since the big O took office? Not me!!! We, as horse people, can relate. You get a horse and try and try to get with them, give them chance after chance and they continue to buck you off and just be a rank turd! Hillary will be just an extension of Obama and if you like things the way they are now, I guess you should just go ahead and vote for her.

I agree about his children and they didn't get that way being raised by a jerk. There is the real Trump and the made for TV reality show Trump.
