Location: Texas! | So I accepted a job offer as a large animal technician at a clinic outside of Waco so we are moving end of the month. We are having a hard time finding a place to rent with the dogs and one horse. Does anyone know any good boarding facilities in North or NW Waco area?
Also, anyone know of places that have weekly jackpots or just advice for being in the area, things to do etc. |

(ps - congrats on your new job!) |

| Don't know any boarding facilities but you are going to have your pick of races within an hours drive to go to year round. The Heart of Texas fairgrounds has several huge races a year |

Location: CTX | Not sure about boarding, you might want to check out Craigslist. There are plenty of races around. Like Rodeomom said the Extraco Events Center has several big races. Last weekend we had the Elite, first weekend of September there is ANHA, in November another Elite (lots of $$ added). Also Glen Rose is not that far off, they have several races, bigger and smaller. And like someone is else posted CTYRA arena in McGregor has lots of races. eta congrats on the new job!

I love the H.O.T. they have the best set up, ANHA has always been my favorite race there. |

Location: Texas!! | My sister in law is selling her home on 15 ac. right out of Waco, I'll post the link. Any way, the lady that lives across the street from her, rents cabins and stalls and has an arena, I just know her name is Donna and she is the realtor on their house.

Location: Texas | OK, Clifton is a beautiful area, close to Waco but not that close. Valley Mills and Whitney are close. I've lived in Whitney, and it's centrally located - you can get to barrel races on the south side of Ft. Worth in 30 minutes. |

I really loved the area and thought r was a cute town. We will most likely live closer to Waco as my SO will be working most likely in Waco. |

Whitney is about 30 minutes away from Waco, and there's a Wal Mart in Hillsboro. Really love that area, plus you have the lake, and trail riding too. |
