We just bought a 1996 sundowner 4 horse gooseneck. (upgraded from 2 horse bp) It has all the holes from where there used to be a rear tack compartment but somehow over the years its gone. I called sundowner and to buy one new is about $1k for just the walls. So im wondering if anyone has built one or knows where could get one cheaper? I dont need one per say as the dressing room has plenty of hooks and saddle racks but i usually put pitchforks/rakes/ and sometimes hay back there to store on longer hauls. It does have a open hay rack on top but not sure how easy that will be to load. (any trick for getting hay up there would be useful as well!! ) Thank you!!
If you want metal you might call around to welding/repair places and see if they can fabricate one for you. You might be able to dig it up with plywood and metal rods if you're handy and just wanting it for fork/bucket etc storage.

Hay = tractor bucket
Thank you! any other helpful hints besides tractor because unfortunately unless i borrow someones i dont own one. Wish we did but until they are on our property, they are boarded for know
For the hay you can rig a rope/pulley to get it up to the roof and then have someone up there to grab it and load from there. Physics!
If you cant hoist it with the pulley from the ground...or you have to do it alone... Tie the pulley rope to an ATV or truck bumper and hoist it that way. Stop when it get to the top...climb up and load it from there.
