I have some bi-polar magnets I bought back in the early 90's that still work and I didn't take any special care of them. In fact, I forgot about them for several years. I think magnets will last aong time when stored properly. Talk SG , she is the one who can answer any question you have.

I have both and LOVE both. I use my BOT more in the winter because I have the fleece. I also feel like the BOT gives more "all over" muscle relief versus the magnets hitting on accupressure points. I am a huge BOT fan. I have braces, blankets, mattress covers, etc.

I have a size 78" mesh sheet that is in like new condition, in original package that I would sell for $200.  I just don't use it.
