Location: Minnesota | long story short, I sold a gal 2 pairs of BOT wraps, shipped them with added ins, blah blah blah. She is now claiming that she only got 1 set and not both. I told her to make an ins claim threw USPS, she said she cant, Ive spent an hr in at the PO trying to get it straighted out, now shes being rude and making me think that she got both sets and is trying to get money from me as she refuses to make a claim threw the PO. She also destroyed the packaging that it came in. She paid threw paypal, Im wondering what I should do? I dont want to be out the money for the boots I already shipped AND refund her X amount more for something she likely recieved, the PO told me if a claim is to be filed it has to come from her and not me. Suggestions? |

Location: WI | Do you have tracking #'s for both packages? If so, I don't think she can file a claim on paypal since you have proof you shipped. What does the tracking say? |

Location: Minnesota | They were sent in 1 package together in a flat rate box. I'll check the receipt but I don't believe there's a weight on it. She's claiming the only got half of what should have been in the box |

| Maybe she misunderstood and thought that 2 pairs were actually 2 sets?
If you have the tracking number you should be covered on the paypal side of things.
Can she send you a picture of what she actually recieved? If not, then I would say she is trying to scam you! Sounds fishy, why cant she claim the PO insurance?? |

There were 4 total boots sent in the box, she sent me a picture of 2 boots and said thats all she got, but she could have easily just taken a picture of the 2. She stated she tried to file a claim and got frusturated, and is now swearing at me saying Im scamming her and she cant understand why I havent taken care of this at the PO. The packaging was all in tact, ect. Im thinking she has both pairs and is just trying to get more money from me but Im not sure how that works w/ paypal |

| Do you have the receipt with the weight on it? Another pair of boots you can get your hands on to weigh and show the original weight is correct?
If the PO says its her problem to file then it's her problem. But if you could show the full weight shipped then it may help your reputation, hopefully she isn't spreading your name on FB groups as a bad seller :( |

Ill have to check the receipt but I beleive because it was a flat rate package they don't put the weight on there. I am not wanting her to do that either which is why Im questioning just sucking it up and refunding her money. Id rather not be out the item shipped as well as the money for it, but I don't want that spread around either. I hate scammers. |

Location: Way up North | With PayPal you will seller protection as long as you did not use Family and Friends, you update with a tracking number that shows shipment was sent to the cerified address on the buyers account you are supposed to be protected. Especially beings you had insurance it should not be an issue with PayPal. She needs to figure out how to do a claim on her own. This is exactly why I refuse to ship to anything but the verified address when buyers request it because then you are not protected. |

Location: North Dakota | This is a tough one and a bit different than a usual case as she is claiming she got two items but not all four. It is easier to deal with when someone just simply claims they didn't get the package entirely and or it is not the item they wanted. In reality you may end up getting the short end of the stick because you don't have any way to prove that all four items where in the box unless they weighed it but I also don't know if Paypal would side with her either as she could clearly be making this up. I have had someone claim to never get something I sent them but I had a recipet and proof I shipped to the verified address and it was marked delievered by the PO so I came out ok on the deal but like I said; that is differen than yours. I hope they weighed your package! As that would be proof for you otherwise this is going to be literally he said/she said type thing. I really hope paypal wouldn't side with her as she has no proof either. I wish you luck and I hope it turns out ok! |

They are used. I think I'm just going to refund out of pocket as I do sell a lot of stuff and don't want my name dragged threw the dirt. I hate dishonest people! So frusturating. |

I hear you on so many dishonest people out there now adays, just be carefull on paying money back to, this person may be one of those that will say she never got the money back too. You sound like a very honest lady, and very sure of herself, lol if it were me and I know for a fact I sent off both sets I would not be refunding money back, shes the one that needs to be doing the fileing a claim. And why did she get rid of the package so fast if she knew that all the items were not there, very fishy . Be carefull of her.

I grew up when people were honest and you just didn't hear about people getting scammed very often if at all.
I use to go to rodeos and leave my purse on my front seat with the doors unlocked along with my tack door opened and unlocked.

I agree, I just don't want to be on a black seller list. Sad that that's the way it is, and it seems very fishy to me as well. I'll refund threw paypal so at least I'll have proof but it sucks big time being out the extra money. But I'd rather eat the $ and be able to continue to sell stuff without people being leary. It's a lose lose for me and a mega win for her. Hopefully karma will bite her in the a** |

Personally, I would pay her the money back....but then I would "tag" her as a less than reputable buyer. I would warn every seller out there to be wary of selling anything to this person. |

I used to enjoy cleaning out the trailer, listing stuff I didn't use anymore, have people pay me with PayPal, and then I'd have a little 'spending money' to buy bits or tack with guilt free. But now I keep hearing about shady people and I'm scared to sell anything anymore!
I sold a Pandora necklace on EBay and the lady said it wasn't authentic. Well, it was a Christmas gift from my in laws so I didn't want to ask them for the receipt Luckily the store gave me a receipt and the lady backed off, but I'm too gunshy now. I guess I'll just let my stuff pile up and become a hoarder |

| I'll sell a few things here and there, but anymore id rather get a couple friends together and pay $20 for a table at one of the local swap meets and getting rid of stuff that way. Cash in hand and the buyer knows what they're buying. |
