Bought a new LQ last weekend and its my 3rd LQ. FOr some reason this one ( SMallest trailer of the 3) is lower to the ground and I damaged one of my holding tanks. I was able to repair it but don't need it again. I know you can flip the axles but I would like to add airbags like I have on my truck. Any way to do this????

Skip the airbags. They are a pain in the butt.  You can block the axels a couple inches.  Just make sure you also adjust your hitch so it pulls level.

Take it in to a trailer service.  I bought the steel tubing and took it in to have it done.  Have your alignment checked, adjust the front hitch tube so it all is level.  There is no reason you will blow tires. I had to raise mine to sit level with my semi.  That was 4 years ago and no issues.

We had our trailer lifted this spring as it was low to the ground. I can not remember how much we paid to have it done or how high it was lifted but it made a huge difference. I have hauled a lot this year and have not had a single issue with it.

It's pretty simple. Any reasonably competent mechanic can do it. My husband lifted my last trailer in the yard one afternoon. It's basically a piece of tubing that bolts between the frame of your trailer and the mounting points of the axles.

Say no to airbags and just block it. The weights on living quarters trailers are enough to engage the axels now a days.

I have decided on the blocking route. I called Sundowner factory and asked about it and not only do they not recommend ANY type of lift but they informed me that doing so will immediatly void my new trailer warranty.... Hummmmmmmmm I might just gave to get a little creative with my plumbing I guess. Its really only one very small area by my house so we will see very frustrating.

I only need an inch or two soooooooooooo finally got some good advice and just need to get taller sidewall tire.

talk to the trailer engineers at Sundowner - it should not void your warranty, for you just blocking you axels, people do it all the time, it sure beats dragging those holding tanks off!

Because we lived on a ranch and we were not going to chance the tank thing we had our tank built inside the shower stall out of aluminum.  Twoways to skin that cat. Just a hard sell when trying to sell.

we had the same problem and last weekend hubby and I redid the driveway. we built it up with soil, then put a nice fat layer of road base over the top. One thing we did to save money is I had him drive the trailer up the driveway and i found exactly where it wanted to rub so I looked where the tires of the trailer were at that moment. so we built that up so the trailer would get lifted by the time the holding tank got the the bad spot.
