PHT's line of products are good for anytime. You don't have to worry about the ifs or when's. You just use them.  The CUHorse line is fantastic for wound care. The MagnaCu is great for wound care  muscle soreness. Muscle tendon ligament inflammation, anytime anything.

I do prefer my BOT over PHT, so I will use BOT anytime it's not too hot.  Use the PHT when it's too hot and only post workout/race.  I do have Ice Vibe boots and don't use them like I should, but after every workout is ideal.

I use BOT sheet, hood, quickwraps, and hock wraps.  I use PHT blanket and stifle wraps.  IV tendon boots.

I don't get too carried away. I have a PHT sheet (just regular PHT) that I usually put on overnight before a race whichever horse runs first the next day, then switch it at breakfast. I have the 3 in 1's that if it's not too hot I will put on as well.

I really dislike anything holding heat close to a leg. My post race routine when it's hot is a good walk out a hose off and ice tight poltice to draw off any residual heat.

For injuries though PHT is my go to for healing therapy, I have just been fortunate knock on wood to have healthy critters.

I really would like to invest in some soft rides as line are turned out all the time at home and I think those would be of great benefit when they have to be stalled at a race or tied for long periods.

I've never used BOT but I love my PHT Magnacu stuff. You can use it anytime and it really makes a horse feel good!

ETA: I have quick wraps and a sheet right now. I had a pair of bells but had to sell them to pay a vet bill. I will be getting another pair as soon a I can.
