So I have been looking into a C3 barrel saddle, by the looks and sounds of it, it might be what I need!
Does anybody have one? how do they fit compared to a tami? same tree?
nobody in my area has one so I would have to compare it to a tami! my mare fits a regular tami!
I would love to hear everyone's opinions on them! they sure look like they hold you in like I need!!
and I would also love to see some pics!!
I have a regular Jeff smith that fits my horse really well (just doesn't fit me, so it's for sale :( ) and I had him fitted for a regular Tami Semas. I'd say they fit pretty similar, the Tami might be a tad wider.

Can't help you - I just ordered a new C3 today. But I can say the tree fit both my horses better than the Martins I've been riding. I love my Martins and I prefer for ME the Martin......but I bought the C3 for my horses.

LOVE my C3!! I had gone through a bunch of saddles trying to find something that fit both my horse and my riding without much luck. I had settled on a Crown C for horse fit but I was constantly fighting to sit square in it. I have a natural tendency to get forward as it is and the saddle wasnt helping. I met Chery Pinkston in November and thought she was riding a Tami Semas so I went up to talk to her about it because I was thinking the Semas was my next move. Turns out it was the C3 she designed that she was riding and she let me try it. GAME CHANGER!! It fit my horse like a glove and when I sat in it I melted. It sat me deep and secure like I wanted but I was free and balanced enough to get out of it and move when I needed. I was able to get forward when i needed or wanted to but the saddle sat me square and balanced and like i said, i melted into it. I put my crown c up for sale and bought the C3 and havnt looked back. One thing I will say is that I was surprised to go with the regular fit tree for my horse. If I had ordered blind without trying it I likely would have ordered a wide fit just based on trying the double j's and Martin's over my saddle journey LOL I tried both the regular and wide with Chery and the wide fell down on my horses shoulders. So, there is alot of room in the tree which is nice. I have noticed a marked difference in my horses quality of movement and overall fitness with a season under the C3. She is able to use herself so much better. I'm a C3 user for life now.... just had someone try to buy mine off my horse and I told them I couldn't let it go.
