I am really struggling with this one. I am considering breeding my mare Bunny who has been so special to me, and I think that's what is making it so hard. She has pretty much been my dream horse. I've won a lot on her and we accomplished so much, and it meant so much more because she wasn't expensive and she was a total gamble that worked out. She and I haven't won anything BIG... but I think had I gotten her younger and under different circumstances, that could have been different. She has won 2D money at big shows like ANHA and Wrapn3s... she's won or placed in the 1D countless times at the races I normally go to. She's been a 100% 1D or 2D money earner for me. She wasn't futuritied and I never got to season her to rodeos... but she really owes me nothing. I just want a stallion who will compliment her, who won't take away any of her speed, and will provide a good trainable attitude. Budget is 2500 or under. She is a free runner, who needs to be "controlled" going to the first barrel, but after that, she's 100% autopilot, hang on, just don't fall off. She's been consistent, reliable, I usually know what to expect when we run. Occasionally we have a bad day but that's every horse.. But, she's been the most dependable horse I've ever ran... and she has a huge heart, tries hard. Would run on three legs if I allowed her.

I would personally stay away from a stallion with that Rocket Bar/Anchor Watch cross since you already have it through Strawflyin Buds. In other words, no DTF breds.

I was actually leaning away from a DTF son for her anyway. I'm really happy with the two grandget of DTF we have, but I want something new. I had her booked to Triple Vodka but decided to do surgery on her instead of breed her this year, so I bumped that to a different mare. I am considering going back to him again or possibly Red Storm Cat.

Triple Vodka would be good. Also, Nonstop Firewater is undoubtedly the best deal on the planet. He has sired 2 NFR qualifiers, his average earnings per starter is insanely high, and he has VERY limited foals. Like 50 total! To sire 2 NFR qualifiers out of so few foals is nothing short of phenominal!!  Plus, he stands for $1250. Because of this we bought a filly by him last winter and she is a really cool cat and very classy looking. Alot of talent and no drama "What can I do for you" attitude with a ton of speed. Now they just got him in to future fortunes. I know they also put him in the C-N California Futurity stallion service auction.

A free runner is fine with me. I ride them better than a push type.

Agreed! Nonstop Firewater is so underappreciated its sad, to be honest. We have one due in March 2017 that we can't wait for. Not to mention, he has such a great mind on him, and such a personality. You would never guess he was 19 looking at him, he's gorgeous. Plus Amy is great to work with. You really can't beat the price on him, all the colts I've seen by him are awesome.

I love my Tres Fortunes colt. I got my mare in foal first try.

A friend of mine bred to Nonstop Firewater this year. He doesn't ship real great. Or at least he didn't to her.

I love Tres Fortunes. Given my mare's pedigree do you think the combination of the two would give too much streakin six?

It will either be great or it won't be. I didn't even think about her being SS as well.

That cross would also have Tinys Gay 2X. I don't know if I believe in the theory about doubling up on Tinys Gay being bad.
