| Let me say firstly I am thankful to producers for making it possible to have barrel races to attend in the first place. I know it is time consuming and thankless in most cases. I am usually not one to complain about anything.
With that being said..I attended a race this weekend. They started an hour and a half later than when the flyer said they would. :( Other than that it was a good production. I waited for results to be posted and they only listed the money winners in each D without the winning times. So I am trying to figure out how far off the pace I was.... I messaged the producer I was told would have detailed results and I cannot get a reply :(.
I paid an entry fee, I feel like it is not out of line to want to know my results...right?
Moral of the story...it would be super helpful if all race producers would post entire results :)

Location: lone star state | Depends on the event, is the producer making a profit or is this a benefit race... If producer is volunteering their time and effort I wouldn't expect full results posted. If producer is putting on a weekend show, keeping 20-25 percent, profiting from exhibitions, concessions, stalls, Rv hookups, etc, I expect full results. |

It was a benefit for the towns Christmas lights and decor. I just cant see why it would be hard to take a pic of the result page and post in on FB or wherever. I wouldnt care if it was hand written chicken scratch. I see your point but I think that if you are going to put on a race of any kind and ask people to spend their money you should make results avaliable.
ETA this was a one day jackpot with prob less than 100 entries. 70% payback.

| Next time volunteer to post all the times for them. At the end of the show they are hot, tired and stressed. There are never enough volunteers at the shows, especially benefits. |

| I am not sure if this group has put on a barrel race before. They may not have any idea. The main reason that I did not go is that I was not sure if the people had the slightest idea of what they were doing. It just irritates the snot out of me when people are inefficient so better for me to stay away. I tried to assist one group who did not know how many people to put in each D. Seriously!!! They said I was confusing them. They just wanted a number like 10. So I was told to leave. Ok, back to the topic,. This group may not know that they need to post all placing. Watch what you volunteer for! |

I got the feeling that they had not put on something like this before. The office was great prior to the race. Handled my pre entrie efficently and accomodated me needing to be early in the show so that I could go to another. When I got there it seemed a little haywire. It took quite a while to start. There was the local drill team doing routines but the announcers stand couldnt get their music to play right. Thunder was rolling in and they were trying to get the drill team to do another routine (by this point we are an hour and a half behind schedule). I was cutting it close to not making the other show. Loud music was playing which was good for my horse to season him to that but I could see where that may present a problem for someone riding something green. Apparently there was a band playing after I left. The producers genuinly tried to make it a fun production and I appreciate that but I just got the feeling they did not have much experience doing this :(. |

Location: N Texas | I went to a fundraiser barrel race put on by a local riding club (who had done this before, so they knew what they were doing) and they had several people ask to post the results, but they never did. It was always "oh, we have to go to the arena to get the books" or "ok, we'll post them first thing tomorrow." They announced the money and prize winners in each D at the end of the race, but never posted the results for those who had to leave, or just wanted to see where they fell. It was annoying. |

Yes it is! This group has said they would post full results but haven't yet. I know I didn't win money but I like to know how far off I was so I know how much work I need to do in the practice pen. Plus its nice to have a record of a horses performance if I decided to sell. |

Yes. They only listed the money winners in each D without listing the times. |

Welcome to the WPRA, wish I had known where I was falling in the group. They only list money earners. |
