Looking for potentially a new read or two. But I must say one of my favorites has always been: Barrel Racing 101: A Complete Program For Horse And Rider by Marlene McRae. A great all around book for anyone by an exceptional cowgirl.

Are you looking for a "How-To" book or a fictional book? We have a few fictional aucthors here on BHW that are really phenominal writers and have great books.
If you're looking for a "how-To" book I like Charmayne's Book by Western Horseman. It's 7.99 on Amazon. "Charmayne James on barrel Racing". Has a few tips on everything. It's an interesting read and not at all traditional in training methods. It is an older book so It leaves out a lot as far as conditioning goes. I'm sure if she re wrote it today it would touch on swimming, aquatreds, magnets and other alternativce forms of rehab and conditioning. It touches on chiro and nutrition.
Her videos are more up to date.
I like reading and watching the videos from different riders. Goes to show that each horse and rider are different in methods and what works for them. Very interesting to me.

I personally like non-fiction and how-to's best. But I'm super open minded and curious as to what is all out there in BHW and what everyone enjoys. Loved your advice however, especially about watching runs. I do find the differences very interesting too.
