Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | Lizards have taken over my barn. They're everywhere and they keep getting in my water and dying. They like to chill on the back of the seats of my saddle so every time I pick it up we both have a mini heart attack. They gotta go. Anyone know a way to get rid of them? |

We have toads and little sand lizards. As long as they don't eat each other I like having them around. They eat insects by the hundreds.

Location: Southeast Louisiana | I love the lizards, too. I would take a barn full of those blue tailed skinks. From what I understand, the juveniles have the blue tails and they lose the color as they age.
Anyway, anything in the water bucket would work. You could attach a little piece of screen or just about anything they could get a foothold on. That way you wouldn't have to put up with the dead ones in your water. I've had the same problem with squirrels in the stock tank.
I have heard that lizards don't like garlic and, if you spray the area around your saddle rack, it might be enough to keep them away from that one area. |

I'll try one area if that seems to work I'll gladly spray around my entire barn. I think theyre disgusting little critters. |

No but I wish I still did. We've had them off and on a few times. We had up to 5 one time but one by one they all disappear. My barn is backed up to the woods so I figure they go hunting and something gets them. I thought about getting more but I can't make my self do it knowing something will happen to them |

If you have coyotes around you'll lose your cats quickly. Poor cats.....we lost an older barn cat just a few weeks ago. He was so careful to stay close to our very large barn but somehow they managed to snare the little guy. |

Wow......that's a pretty critter. We had a donkey once. He was kind of a little escape artist. |

You rock! I was completely jealous of her too. I had a wonderful barn at a rental in Del Rio TX that was completely full of geckos! Oh, they were so wonderful! |
