I am curious about these and how many use them. I was talking to a couple barrel racers at a large race recently that used them. They said once you try one you will never go back to racing without one. I have read where some people say you can't ride if you use one, however I think it's an aid just like using rubber bands. I have never used one but have been thinking about it. I fractured my back a few years ago and I tend to stand up a bit in my turns and get thrown forward. I guess I am trying to protect my back in a subconcious way. I never use to to that before my accident. Was wondering if this would remind me to sit in my turns. Any users out there that would like to share your experience with them. Thanks
I have them on two saddles. Got rid of the horse that I needed them for but they are still on the saddles. They are a confidence builder. I got one at joseys and one from the tack stop

Yes, I started using one about 6 weeks ago when I started running a new (to me) horse that I realized I wasn't keeping up with coming out of the turns. I have a head injury that slows down my motor skills. It was a great, great tool for me to use while I learned some tips that help me to ride him better. Absolutely try it out!! Remember, this is a hobby/sport you do because you enjoy it! Besides, it will gives those others something new to talk about
